Inferno

I love to read books!!! I wish I could just sit around the whole day reading mystery and thriller books!!! Wouldn’t that be Awesome!?!?! I remember when I was in college I had this yearning to possess my own little library at home!!! But little did i knew that Technology had different plans LOL!!! Today I do have a library full of books but the catch is instead of residing in a physical shelf they exist in my iPad hihihi…

Anywho… when it comes to books, my two most favorite authors are undoubtedly Dan Brown and Sidney Sheldon… My First Dan Brown book was “Angels & Demons” and the moment I started reading, I knew he had added me to his enormous fan following… I have read all his books till date and “Da Vinci Code” is my dearest!!! His genre of writing is suspense and thriller with a lot of cryptology and ancient symbology! All his books are complete page turners and once you start reading you just won’t stop! So many twists and turns and so edgy that you’d hardly be able to anticipate whats on your way!!! His latest addition to the Robert Langdon Series “Inferno” is yet another masterpiece to the world of books and once again he has left me spellbound! Dan Brown you Rock infinity!!!

Now folks if y’all haven’t read the book yet  then please stop reading this post right away and go get your hands on the actual stuff!!! You sure don’t want to devoid yourself of something so epic!!! 😛 This one’s surely going to be a spoiler alert!!!

The book’s primary focus remains on issues of “Over Population” and its repercussions and the story moves along with Robert Langdon cracking the clues… all based on the Italian poet Dante’s The Divine Comedy (Inferno · Purgatorio · Paradiso).

The main Villain or rather a Hero portrayed in a little negative light lol in the book is Bertrand Zobrist who’s a Bio-Chemical Scientist! He’s the one who realizes the actual hazards of the way the humankind is procreating and his points does leave an impression on you!!! Many a problems, infact most of the the problems that we face today are nothing but in a way or the other the side effects of Over Population… think about it… Shortage of jobs… Water… Traffic!!! etcetera… etcetera…

The Genius explains… “It took the earth’s population thousands of years—from the early dawn of man all the way to the early 1800s—to reach one billion people. Then, astoundingly, it took only about a hundred years to double the population to two billion in the 1920s. After that, it took a mere fifty years for the population to double again to four billion in the 1970s. And now we’re well on track to reach eight billion very soon. Just today, the human race added another quarter-million people to planet Earth. A quarter million. And this happens every day—rain or shine. Currently, every year, we’re adding the equivalent of the entire country of Germany”. Mahnnn isn’t that haunting!!! Before the mid point of this century there will be 9 billion people on planet earth!!! Think about the Traffic now 😛

So what do we do now!!! Of course we can do nothing 😉 if you know what I mean 😛 … But the real interesting sh*t is what the The Genius Scientist did!!!

Bertrand created something known as a viral vector (Dare you ask me what crap it is!!! :P). It’s apparently a virus intentionally designed to install genetic information into the cell it’s attacking. A vector virus … rather than killing its host cell … inserts a piece of predetermined DNA into that cell, essentially modifying the cell’s genome. This virus changes our DNA(Whaaat??? Say Whaattttt!!! lol) The insidious nature of this virus is that none of us know it has infected us. No one gets sick. It causes no overt symptoms to suggest that it’s changing us genetically

So what changes does it make you ask?” …. wait for it… keep waiting… some more time… 😛 The virus has the ability to render the human body … infertile!!! (OMG right? :P)

Now icing on the cake!!! The Scientist’s virus… is a randomly activating virus. Even though becomes endemic in all human DNA and will be passed along by all of us from this generation forward, it will ‘activate’ only in a certain percentage of people. In other words, the virus is gets carried by everyone on earth, and yet it will cause sterility in only a randomly selected part of the population.

You’ll have to agree It’s kind of the best way to prevent Over population and its pain in the ass downfalls… I guess we should invent something this sort of a virus!!! Obviously like any big invention if fallen in wrong hands it can be misused to bring catastrophe… Its kinda intriguing to imagine that as i write this post… there might be some scientist in some corner of the world who would be actually on to creating something like this… chillssss!!!!

Oh and can you guess what Bertrand Zobrist named his virus…?!?!? … Inferno.

Thanks for reading!!! 🙂
